What If Your Job Isn't a Dead End-But Your View of It Is?

Same title. Same workplace. Maybe even the same routine.
Before you decide nothing is moving, look at what has been developing in you.

See What's Possible

Maybe Nothing Looks Different on the Outside.

Same title.
Same company.
Same business.
Same profession.
Same family role.

But are you the same?

Can you handle things today that once overwhelmed you?

Do people bring you problems they didn't bring you five years ago?

Have you become the person who explains it, organizes it, calms the room, trains the new person, figures it out, gets called when something goes wrong—or somehow knows what to do next?

Maybe you've been doing some of it so long that you stopped noticing it took anything from you at all.

Maybe you haven't been standing still.

Maybe you've stopped counting what has been developing.

What Could You Do Differently If You Could Actually See What You Bring to the Table?

Maybe you don't need another accomplishment yet.
Maybe you need a clearer view of the ones you already have.

PROMOTION

Stop listing only what you were responsible for. See what you actually did, changed, improved, solved, led, or learned.

INTERVIEWS
Walk in with examples already in your hands instead of trying to remember your career while somebody waits.

YOUR CURRENT JOB
See what your current role has been developing in you—and where those skills, strengths, and experiences could matter.

BUSINESS + PARTNERSHIPS
See what you have become good at doing—not only what your business does—and know what you're bringing to the table before you sit down at it.

NETWORKING + VISIBILITY
Stop shrinking years of experience into a title.

CONFIDENCE

Stop trying to talk yourself into feeling more confident.
Put enough accurate evidence in front of yourself that you finally have something solid to stand on.

When you can see different, you can choose different.

SEE IT. NAME IT. USE IT.

You heard enough about believing in yourself. Now let's give you something you can point to.

Slow down long enough to see what you've actually done, what those experiences taught you, and what keeps showing up.

You've Done More Than You Think gives you six places to slow down, look at what you've actually done, and see what i may have taught you about what you can do now.

SEE IT.

What have you actually done?

How have you grown?

What have these years taught you to handle?

NAME IT.

What keeps showing up?

What do people trust you with?

What have you become good at doing?

USE IT.

Where else could that matter?

What conversation, opportunity, role, business, partnership, or room might look different now?

My Title Hadn't Changed. But the Rooms People Trusted Me to Lead Had.

For years, I kept one foot in my work as a pharmacist while learning, speaking, coaching, and facilitating in other rooms.

Then something started happening.

Things I was learning in one room started showing up in another.

I listened differently.

I asked different questions.

I learned how to help people practice instead of just giving them information.

I learned how to make complicated things easier to see and use.

And eventually, other people could see it too.

They started trusting me with different conversations.

Different problems.

Different rooms.

My title hadn't changed. But the rooms people trusted me to lead had.

I had seen this happen earlier in my career too.

I once interviewed for a promotion against people who had been there nine and ten years.

I was still in my first 90 days.

They had something I didn't have:

Tenure.

But I could explain what I contributed.

I could talk about the people I supported, the numbers I watched, the problems I could help solve, and how my work could help move the department forward.

I was promoted on day 72.

I hadn't been there longer.

I could make my contribution visible.

And that's the question I want you to sit with:

What might become possible if you could make your contribution visible too?

What Have You Been Calling “Just My Job”?

Maybe you've said:

“I was just doing my job.”

“I've been doing this forever.”

“That's just what moms do.”

“Anybody in my position could do that.”

“That's just part of running a business.”

But somewhere inside those ordinary sentences may be years of evidence.

The problem you know how to solve.

The conversation people trust you to have.

The customer who asks for you.

The team that works differently when you're in the room.

The business decision you can make now that once would've scared you.

The family you learned how to advocate for.

The thing everybody keeps asking you to explain.

When something becomes normal to you, it can become easy to stop counting what it took to become capable of doing it.

You don't have to make it bigger.

You have to see what's actually there.

What You've Learned Was Never Meant to Stay in One Room

Maybe you learned it at work.

Maybe you learned it raising a family.

Maybe you learned it building something, surviving something, leading something, or simply living long enough to know differently now.

Now take it with you.

  • Into the promotion conversation.
  • Into the interview.
  • Into your rĂ©sumĂ© and LinkedIn.
  • Into the business you're building.
  • Into the partnership you're considering.
  • Into the room where someone asks:

               “So, tell me about yourself.”

  • Into the job you've been calling ordinary.
  • Into Tuesday at 2:15 when somebody needs what you've spent years learning how to do.

See what you bring to the table.

Then decide where else you want to bring it.
